Design of Open-Ended Structure Wideband PCB Rogowski Coil Based on New Winding Method

Compared with the traditional Rogowski coil, printed circuit board (PCB) coil has advantages of high measurement accuracy, simple manufacturing process and low cost. It become an important device in current measurement. However, existing PCB coils are mostly closed, open-ended structure susceptible to external magnetic field interference. This paper proposes based on a new winding method, so that two evenly distributed when while improving coil’s immunity fields method equal area de-wired loop. In addition, this uses hybrid integration back-end matching achieve broadband performance sensor. Finally, experimental results show mutual inductance difference between closed is less than 0.5% under same wiring mode. Under equivalent interference at 50 mm from measured current, maximum coefficient 1.45%; sine sweep pulse test conditions, frequency band 34 Hz–3.5 MHz.
